about me

Hey there, I’m Eliza!

A story-teller at heart, the camera has always been the pen and paper I use to express myself. But more importantly, I believe that life is a collection of moments, and photos are simply a way for us to remember, return and relive them.

Why film? I love the way you never really know what to expect when shooting on film—there’s that element of surprise that makes the images all the more shiok! I picked up my first film camera back in 2015, and what started out as a hobby quickly turned into something more. Through the tiny little square of my viewfinder, I began to fall in love with the everyday sights around me. Needless to say, capturing people and emotions are at the core of my work, and I believe that these moments are best captured analog.

On a typical day, you’ll find me somewhere in between watching sci-fi movies, grooving to Spotify’s “R&B 2000s Greatest Hits”, and drinking a hot bowl of tom yam soup. I have an irrational fear of ceiling fans and if there was an occupation I’d really love to try, it will definitely be building miniature sets for movies!
